Shania Thoennes, Owner and Architectural Drafter
My passion for home design came quite naturally. I have always had a creative side, starting with art classes, painting, and wood working anytime there is a project that I feel I cannot live without. Designing and creating things on paper and by hand is a passion of mine. I find inspiration for my clients from living ‘Up North’ in Minnesota and my German roots to give them a design that is practical to this area we call home, but also unique and something they have not seen before.
When I design, I am not all about driving the cost of a project up. I am very conscious when it comes to wasted space. I prefer to reconfigure these scenarios to provide a more useful solution. The uniqueness of each project is also very appealing to me. To begin I get to know the client. Perhaps, where they live, where they are from, their hobbies and their typical daily routines. I am then able to put myself in their shoes to custom fit the home to their lifestyles.
